If you were stranded in a snowstorm...

Let's say the snow is on its way and you have just enough time to get to the grocery for one last pick-up. The snow will be BAD, but you'll only be stuck inside for 2 days. You know, one of those- "nobody on the roads but emergency vehicles" -type storms.
Your pantry is already well-stocked. What do you buy that you just have to have for those 2 days?

My own answer is: a pint of Ben and Jerry's New York Super Fudge Chunk to go with the movies I've planned to watch--1/2 a pint for each night.
And you?

Whipped Cream (in a can) for the hot chocolate since my well-stocked pantry usually includes some goodies... good chic flicks and some CSI (what a combo) ... Would spend the time making cookies, watching movies & keeping warm!

Rice Krispies and marshmallows and those horrid waxy chocolate covered mini donuts. I love those.

Popcorn or sunflower seeds.

Around here, it's bread - and milk. I try to avoid grocery stores on the day before a snow.

But if I was out of bananas, I might give it a go.

Your picture looks like a movie set for "The Day the Earth Ended" -and I'm ready to bet that food bloggers have freezers full of just about everything.

I just posted about this whn here in Todewater there was a snow alert. Cocoa, bread, milk, batteries were the top purchases! You also need to stop by the library for a good book!

My wife says: Lots of dark chocolate.

I would get extra fresh veggies for lots and lots of stew and soup.

Doubt I would in Africa but if I did I would probably need a bottle of rum to warm me and get over the shock of it LOL

Voted for you at Bloggers Choice.

Ummmmm, can't decide but I guess...a package of english muffins, bagels, cream cheese, real butter and some really good strawberry jam. I always have some chocolate in the house so no problem there! I guess I would like some skim milk to go with the cookies I would make. yummmmy.

We do experience this but they are called Hurricanes here not snowstorms. I would always have bread on supply because one of the strangest things I found after Hurricane Charley was that not for any amount of money could you buy a loaf of bread! Water, and ice they were giving out free but you were SOL on the bread!!!
